Commissioning
Work
The majority of our work is directly commissioned and at
the start a one to one consultation for the client and
artists to become attuned to each others' needs and to
explore the ideas, criteria and parameters as set by the
client is essential. This usually includes site visits by
the Studio and frequently visits to the Studio by the
client which helps in appreciation of the possibilities
inherent in the materials and tools used.
While ideas are still fluid rough sketches are produced
which can help crystalise the wishes of the client and
formulate the potential of the commission. At this point an
estimate of the total cost is produced including the cost
of materials, all work, delivery and installation as
appropriate.
